Greetz!

Here is a pic  sent by Fortunatu, who has retired from his emperor´s business nowadays, sitting in his tower and waiting for tourists to take care of while showing his home to them, a “Goodbye Dinner” included. As we can see, he is  doing well with that, and no visitor ever got back to complain on anything  up to now.

Savage World Story

Posted in Uncategorized on May 9, 2010 by michaelhmusal

So, whats the first volume of the Savage World Tales about? Well, there are four malicious magicians, four diamonds of wizardry and four heroes and their friends to remedy the evil machinations. Which makes the first volume a tetralogy, a miniseries of 4 issues. These episodes are connected by a main plot of a narrator, named Gray, a lonesome wanderer and storyteller who knows the Gods and the worlds, the good and the evil, and everything which lurks in the hearts of all those creatures.

Daily Test: passed!

Finally the workflow has accomplished its final test: does ist allow for the Daily Strip production? Proud to say yes, and not losing quality. Thanks to the great time saving tools of Manga Studio EX 4.The draft was done in 7 1/2 hours, using all tricks  and cheats. For comic book production, this means a volume per year at about 48 pages, each page containing a maximum of 4 strips. Since it is done in B4 size at 600 dpi, we can even crop album long shots out of strip panels. Just to be sure we do not miss the layout goodies of a comic book page, changing formats from strip to book. Click to see readable size. Remember: ©2010 by Michael H. Musal.

A Map of OURD?

Posted in Uncategorized on April 24, 2010 by michaelhmusal

Yes, there will be a map of the Savage World. Currently we are travelling, locating all the places the saga is going to sing about. Here is one thing what we found, travelling the Alfarian Forests. The Emerald Tower, hosting Fortunatu´s rotten self. Never drop in there, if you are not an aficionado of his malice.. you won´t be back to tell what you saw. Just exploring this hellish building alone is worth a fully featured adventure game. Big epic: Savage World.

Style Study on Nefre

Posted in 1 on April 12, 2010 by michaelhmusal

Well, one of our losers here, Nefre, has turned out to be not so busy these days- he´s visited Fortunatu and gets the treatment you get when you are silly enough to hang out around the Emerald Tower…. So I took him for a little style study. Seems to be of advantage to use some transparent inks instead of plain Black and White inking for a fantasy series like Savage World.

And here goes: Fortunatu the Beau

Posted in 1 on April 10, 2010 by michaelhmusal

And here is the face of the Lord of the  Savage World. Impressing, isn´t he? A true beauty, our hunchback emperor of OURD. Once a mistreated child, now a genious wizard, a gift from hell, a pain in the ass of the world. Sounds familiar? Not a miracle… thats the way things go. Be sorry for our good guys to deal with him.

The Bunch of Losers got inked for the first time

Posted in 1 on April 10, 2010 by michaelhmusal

Well, see these miserable bums, they dared to apply for the good guys role in the first evil epic of SAVAGE MOON. And guess what, they won the parts, outgunning Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Brad Pitt and Homer Simpson. From left to right: Nefre, the fired  Inquisitor, Nurinoki,  a  drunken halfbreed somehow between cat and bear, banned from his hometree in the forest, Diana, the sinister killer girl who once had a hubby and a home(she burned it down) and Rocco de Flor, formely known for his great singing and acting, now a homeless pirate. They stand up against the beautiful and powerful emerald mage, Fortunatu, who is ruling their world with merciless perverted humours. No chance! This is gonna be a loser story, a tragedy, taken from life, inspired by life, and put into fiction.

“My name is Gray. I was found in this world at the age of five, and my hair was gray. I was found by the priestess Azelouane, who gave me an education in her house and her temple, which was located between the mountains and the green plains of Cruachan. I used to grow up and live there, listening to all the legends of this world. It was a happy life among the priestesses and their servants – I was the only male in the house. But happiness ended  and my life changed, after Azelouane had got old and sick. The night after my dear Azelouane´s death , I had a dream.”
